POst or e-mail me if you want in OR if you wnat to be removed from the LIST bellow Well I have OTIS ( Midwest Turbo ) come through for us ONCE again with his pricing. The prices are VERY resonable if not DARN good if you ask me and as cheap as any other supplier I have gotten links and phone numbers for from alot of you. So why not support a supplier that has ALWAYS been there for us in the past. And I dont think any one of us will go somewere else to save 2 or 3 bucks per set. Lets Support Midwest Turbo. Axxis Semi-metalic ---------------- $21.00 /Front set Axxis Deluxe Plus ----------------- $30.00 /Front set Axxis Metalmaster----------------- $24.00 /Front set Only thing available for rear is: Axxis Deluxe Plus ---------------- $25.00 /Rear set Payments will be handled DIRECTLY through Mid West Turbo and I will post a LINK to the Pay-pal info in a few days. Shipping will be determined by your location and according to Otis's shipping method. The Ultimate is listed as street/track, will give the best braking but less life than Metalmaster. A GOOD Track Street combo will be Ultimates F and Deluxe R. A More conservative Street App will be Metalmaster F and Deluxe R. And well the Deluxe ALL around will be considered a STREET ONLY application The above prices are based on 15 Axel sets OF ANY type compound Bellow is some reading material from one of the suppliers of AXXIS. This will give you an idea of the what pads will be better for you. Bellow I have attached a few grafs and charts that show you the differences between the three compounds and how they compare to each other in several aspects. HAPPY reading =) http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/brakenoise.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/clean.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/pad-life.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/rotor.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/hsreduction.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/frictionlevel.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/greenfriction.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/coldreduction.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/fade.jpg http://www.zeckhausen.com/images/Pads/rotor-scoring.jpg So if there's anyone interested in these just post and I will add you to the LIST, and once I have 5 sets I will ask for payments, so please be considerate of fellow members and do so promptly after beeing notified. BIL
Not to jam up this group purchase but I think you could negotiate a better group price. I just bought Metal Masters for the front and Plus for the back for about $6 less for the combo just buying 1 set of each. I think shipping was about $8 from CA to FL. Turborusty
Hey what's up Oscar? I guess you better pencil me in for the Metalmaster fronts and deluxe rears. My stainless braided lines from 3sx should be here today ;D Turborusty Give me a call sometime. I'm pretty much always home now ;D
BIL
You're right Oscar. I'll look around for the receipt and let you know where I got them. The only thing I remember off the top of my head was that it was a CA shop that orders directly from Australia.
BIL
OK Oscar, here is the scoop.... It was Brake Parts Warehouse 70-225 Highway 111 Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 Date of purchase 11/02/04 Front Metal Masters $39.98 Rear Plus $29.98 Shipping from CA to FL was $8.00 This was a single purchase. I would think a group buy would be even cheaper. Maybe your source would match prices or maybe switch to these guys. Hope this was helpful. Oscar_the_Grouch
Allright guys... I have gotten several new choices for the pads and will post final pricing in a few days as I am still waiting for replies from the new suppliers. If the GP will save less than $5.00 per pad I will just post the info to the CHEAPEST place and have everyone order individually from them at your own pace and time. starhunter
I noticed the metal master pads didn't have a specific material next to them. When I read they were semi-metallic, I immediately wondered what was so different about the compound that made them $25+ more in the bulk buy than I pay for the semi-metallics with the lifetime exchange warranty. I understand they can work at high temps but I drive like grandma 90% of the time. When I checked out the stoptech.com link in the first post I thought I'd browse their product line for Omni pads, found nothing, but they are selling the AXXIS Ultimates for 46 bux compared to $68. I know there are other suppliers on the table but we've got alot of gristle to cut away from what looks like a list price. I wasn't too impressed with the first offering at a bulk rate and should expect to see the second offering at about half that price. This comes after a click to Top End and seeing the metal master's cheaper than the initial offering for just one pair. I was expecting to see them for way more so I questioned how much of this was markup. I started hunting and here's the best prices on AXXIS I've found with a quick Google search. www.importrp.com has the metal masters at $27 for the fronts and $28 for the rear. phone# 425-398-1846 www.brakewarehouse.com has the deluxe plus rears for $26 and fronts for 32. the metal master fronts are $37 with no MM offering for the rear. the ultimates are also listed at $51. phone# 800-214-4034 or 607-772-9194 and of course www.stoptech.com with the ultmate pads for $46. phone#310 325 4799 they may be dead links or just outdated, but with those prices it's worth a shot. I figured Oscar would want the phone numbers in case these haven't already been considered.
Oscar_the_Grouch
Starhunter.... Thanks for the update on the allready topic discussed. Like I mentioned on the previous post I was working with the new sources for a cheaper price. And YES I will be posting new places to get the pads and NO the GP will not be open due to the fact that the best price found will not be lower if a GP is organized. Thanks again The GROUCH ! starhunter
I guess my results were submitted too late in the decision making process. :-/ I suppose I'll give these guys a call on my own on the off chance they may want to sell more than an individual set of pads. Out of curiosity, what's the price range of the new sources you'll be listing?
Turborusty
www.importrp.com also claims to have metal masters for the rear as well for around $27 a set...... I wonder if this is true? I would like the metel masters all around. Turborusty
starhunter
that's what I'm talking 'bout. They are already at half the list price. If it's true and they are in the business of making money, I'm sure they'd be up for a bulk buy.
IntercooledFlatty
i'm not trying to jack this thread or anything, but Brian at wholesale direct will sell us these for the front and rear $70.00 shipped. these are the same people who supplied the slotted and drilled rotors gp. quality stuff
