IGNITION BOX/ SPARK ENHANCER

Hello everyone!

Happy new year!

I would like to inform that I'm about to start selling the ignition boxes; actually they are spark enhancers; just like Accel, MSD and etc...

My brand will be called TRILOGY with 2 models CMR I AND CMR II.

Measured in milijoules the spark produced is :

CMR I   360 with 200 microseconds of spark duration

CMR II  500 with 250 microseconds of spark duration

 

To give you an idea, MSD 7AL 3 puts out 160 with 140 microseconds.

 

With this spark enhancer YOU WILL NOT NEED A TACH ADAPTOR OR REMOVE YOUR STOCK IGNITOR BOXES!!!!!!

You can use it with your stock coil, but I recomend a better coil so you can get all the benefits of the stronger spark.

I'm testing this ignition for about 8 months now and I have to say that my fuel mileage increased from 225/230 miles per tank to 265/270 miles (THIS IS THE WAY I DRIVE!!! FLOORING ALL THE TIME), highway speed 75/80mph and city, racing light to light; iddling is perfect; oil looks a lot better between changes and best of all, the hesitation I had at 18 psi was gone after installing it. I tested all the way to 23psi, no hesitation; btw rpm goes easy to 7K, I do not recomend it.   ::)

Price is beeing reviewed with the manufacturer, item will be imported from Brazil, legaly!

I'm also opening my shop in West Palm Beach, 8233 - 15 Gator Lane, West of Turnpike, take Southern West, pass Turnpike, turn right on Kelly Dr. then first warehouse bulding on your right.  This is a simple shop, not fancy but will have a car lift, wheel balancer and some other goodies for the starquest.

I would like to know how many of you would like to get to the first group buy on this ignitions.

I can also offer in the same "box" a AIC (sequential) with boost retard. This setup (I also have in my car) will be good to anyone using a bigger turbo with a lot of boost.

I'll give the price shortly, just want to see how many of you would be willing to get one of this.

At this stage I'm manufacturing stickers and manuals. Boxes can be manufactured and shipped within 1 month, after that I'll have them available at the store.

Product will have a 1 year warranty.

The ignition box will be available to other cars too... including cars with 2, 3, 4 or 5 coils.

I'll have about 10 boxes available soon and depending on the # of people interested I can import more; upon a deposit.

P.S. I also have a few turbo charger kits available... on hand I have a Jetta VR6 turbocharger kit for $2,000.00; will fit 95 to 99 jettas. Also turbocharger kits for the BMW 325i; 328i ; Ford Focus (US and Canada) and others. Pictures upon request.

CMR I good to 7.500 RPM

CMR II good to 9.500 RPM

 

About your questions....

 

This spark enhancer fits ANY car, I just need to know what is the "recharge" time of the stock ignition; usually done with a oscilloscope set to "duty cycle".

 

The enhancer box is made of a strong plastic and all the electronics are immerse on a epoxy solution for vibration and water protection. I'll try to insert a link for the picture.

Don't forget; you have the choice of buying only the ignition or the combination of ignition and the MEG, that incorporates spark retard and AIC, SEQUENTIAL! Can control up to 10 injectors!

I'll sell the MEG/enhancer combo with the extra injector (good for 180HP), injector clip and injector support to be welded at the over the valve pipe. I'll take a picture.

I'm still working on prices since exchange rates are going up and down.

This is a Hijack but, the stock injectors are fine for most poeple.  Klube on this board lives near me and has the nicest Black 89 I've ever seen.  Big 16G at 18psi on pump and stock injectors...125psi fuel pump, after market FPR and a HKS F-Con.  He also uses a HKS Twin Power and has nothing but good things to say about it.  "it's like liquid fire".

Aren't the stock ignitors a real weak spot in this car?  why can't someone come up with a simple replacement for that? but I still think I may be interested in this also.

I wouldn't say they're weak, or even prone to failure really(88-89)...To eliminate it, you'll need something to retard the igntion timing as boost pressure rises....Such as the MSD 6BTM....That's my take on it.

Price for the ignition box is fixed at $225.00 plus shipping.

Again this is the CMR I that puts out 300 millijoules.

If you need spark retard, the MEG is what you need, it also incorporates a AIC (additional injector controler).

Now if you just want a 'FREAKING' strong spark this ignition box is the one.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR TACH ADAPTOR, SIMPLE INSTALATION, USE WITH STOCK OR AFTERMARKET COIL (I'll give a list). Better if used with aftermarket coil so you can get all the potential from it!

The setup for the starquest is : 1 coil , SINGLE SPARK, up to 7.500 rpms. Yes it's a single spark! YOU DON'T NEED MULTIPLE SPARKS! WHAT COUNTS IS THE FIRST SPARK! STRONGER IS BETTER!

 

Now if your car is already using 2 coils like the eclipse with the same firing patern(two spark plugs at the time), you'll need a 2 coil ignition box! The price is $295.00 plus shipping.

 

I'M RUNNING STOCK INJECTORS WITH THE E2315 PUMP, STOCK FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND 20PSI on a 16G. Car does not lean out.

I eliminated mine by running a Jacobs Boost Master.  It varies ignition timing as boost raises and is fully adjustable on and off of boost.  I am also running a Jacobs Omni Magnum Spark enhancer which is an awesome unit.  Any spark enhancer IMO is a great buy, the guys at our Western NY meet didnt believe me when I said what kind of mialage I get (20/26) with all of the mods I have.  I'd say go with Heron on this, a nice hot spark to burn every last atom of fuel can work wonders.

Yes, that's what is called MEG.

MEG is the electronic that manage the extra fuel injection (sequential) and retard spark using the vaccum port built in.

The MEG/ignition combo (in the same box!) with 2 pressures to control the extra injector is only $525.00. Now I'm trying to add to this combo, the fuel injector (good for 180HP), the resistor and the fuel injector adaptor to be welded to the OVCP.

I can send you a picture of the instalation on my car. The extra injector, adaptor, clip for the injector & resistor will go for around $120.00 extra, so you're looking at about $645/650 for everything.

This setup can be used on any car that uses 1 coil and distribuitor. This setup will also enable us to use 2 coils, like the eclipse, 2 cylinders firing at the same time.
