Gauges question

I want to find a good spot for connecting the light for the gauges.

Looking for an easy connection to get to for turning the gauge lights on

When the bead lights are on.

I spliced into the wire that goes to bulbs beneath the "emergency lever" It turns on with headlights.....so my gauge do too...

I typically find something that lights up on the dash when the lights are on and tap off of that. On my Eclipse there's a light ring around the cigarette lighter that's a no brainer. I've also used the positive off the glove box light before in other cars. That emergency level bulb is a great idea.

i checked my car and either the bulb is out or it does not turn on in 89 cars.

 

will look in to it this weekend to see if the bulb is bad or if the connector has power.

 

will report back.

I used the add a circuit fuses and plugged into the fuse for lights. Now they are on separate fuse but operate when I turn on lights. Clean install no splicing and only about $5
