questtuner82
Has anybody attempted to use a tunable obdII eclipse turbo computer and harness with the 2.6? Was just wondering what would all be involved in doing this. I totalled my 1998 eclipse last week from an idiot driver running a light. I have everything but i didnt want to swap the motor just thinking it wouldnt be hard to setup/install the computer and harness and anything else needed
scott87star
Don't see why it wouldn't work, do those motors have the CAS? You would have to figure out how to mount it, back of the cam or use a mighty max dizzy.
speedyquest
You can definitely do it. Technology did it with his car to make it multiport. He used the engine harness, injectors, etc and used dsmlink I believe. I remember him saying he used the stock eclipse ecu on very first startup and the fuel maps were close enough that the car started right up. I'm sure you could ask him details. questtuner82
I know that my totalled eclipse has dsm link in it now idk what type of tune or what is in it. Psk performance did the install and tune 2 years ago. I do believe it has a cam angle sensor as well as a crank sensor. I have a crank trigger setup but i think with the dsmlink i can delete CAS. Technology
With DSM link you can delete the MAS and run a speed-density setup which can read higher levels of boost/airflow. If it has that, then it's completely tuneable and you could use it on the g54b.
