Ignition retard in the lower "transition" boost regions will spool the turbo, but at the cost of A LOT of heat. More cruise ignition will give you better throttle response.A different cam will also wake it up and would be something I would take a good hard look at. psu_Crash Posted April 4, 2015 Report Share Posted April 4, 2015 You can safely lean things out a good bit in the off boost, low load areas. Being a little lean going into boost also helps to spool things up quicker, but it's not the safest practice, especially on a street car. So I avoid that.Here's my target table for reference.
