starQUEST2020
wondering if fatty spoiler can fit flatty? if not, any options for me?
techboy
I'm pretty sure the wing on the flatty is the same as the wing on a fatty already. If not, the fender flares out on a fatty below where the side pieces of the wing mount, so as long as the holes are there on your car, there shouldn't be a problem mounting it up. speedyquest
You are correct techboy. The 3 piece wing in the back is the exact same for both flat body and wide body cars.
ZacMan
If the flatty was not fitted with the spoiler from the factory, it won't have the mounting recesses below the rear window. You can slice these off the three piece spoiler though, and use some really good glue to glue it on the flatty. My red car is like that. techboy
ZacMan ... when you say rear window, do you mean the 1/4 glass or the hatch? I'm just curious for my own information.
starQUEST2020
Thanx guys
kev
Under the quarter glass are the notches in the quarter panel to accept the mounting brackets of the side spoiler. For the hatch, there are simply holes for the studs of the center piece of the spoiler to pass thru and be bolted underneath. Personally I think the early models without the spoilers look better than the later model flat bodies with them Kev
