Recommended Posts

I've been adjusting to.

.010 intake

.008 exhaust

I think... I can't remember now, watch, i probably adjusted to 080 lol

Yeah, I went back to my notes and I got that all screwed up LOL,

Intake .006" or .15mm

Exhaust .010" or .25mm

Sorry about that! I was going from memory there!

Without knowing what shape yourlobes are in I cannot tell you for certain, but mine are far from perfect. I always ran .008 intake and .010 exhaust. It didnt like that. Ran much better at .010 intake and .012 exhaust. Those are hot settings.

I found the lobes on my screamin banshee to have up to .008 inconsistency in the closed region. This means if I were running say .006 hot lash, my valves wouldve been opening back up when they werent supposed to. Less valve seat time means less valve cooling which will lead to premature valve seal failure. You wont really hear the issue till the seal begins to really fail. It will become a miss at idle and lower static compression.

You could try and do a hot compression test while playing with different lash settings and see if it goes up or down.
