TexasQuest
I thought it's best to run a step colder plug with higher boost?

danmanTSI
I recently pulled a set of BPR6ES-11's from my car and noticed slight High speed glazing. BUR7ES-11's in the mail Edited April 5, 2013 by danmanTSI
Komeuppance
BUR7EA-11 or NGK 7031 is the way to go, and OEM recommended. Do a search on here for 7031 to find out all the info. P.S. The BPR plugs fit, but are not OEM style... there's a big difference. -Robert

BUR7EA http://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=9603 See the difference in the amount of metal surrounding the ceramic insulator?? -Robert These plugs will likely need to be special ordered at your local parts stores. Tell them the NGK # 7031, if they try to look it up by vehicle they will give you the wrong plugs. Some parts guys don't understand (or are too ignorant) you need that specific number and want to "cross reference" a plug that will fit or try to sell you a platinum $$ plug. Don't get fooled by these numbskulls. I get them from O'Reilly's for around $2.49ea, usually without too much hassle... usually. -Robert
patra_is_here
yeah i just went and ordered a box of 10. no one locally had them . should be here tomorrow. I have an independent parts house that has a knowledgeable staff. "Can you order me 4 of these?. here's the part number""hmm, those are an odd plug, there's an autolight cross-reference, but I'm sure you don't want that""hahaha yeah definitely not" Edited April 5, 2013 by patra_is_here

I checked Autolite for a semi surface discharge, and they don't make any... besides they are a cruddy built plug. -Robert
Guest
Every single time I go get me some plugs, the numbskills try to upsale me some crummy "iridium" or "platinum" plugs. Bull stinky.
Komeuppance
I found out my 88 mitsu van came with platinum plugs, which surprised me lol. In some applications they are better because they last longer... not for SQ's though!! Even a Bosch rep told me that platinum and iridium plugs were getting a bad reputation because they were being used in incorrect applications. -Robert
