My first long drive and meet in my recently acquired '86 ESi-R

Well, on Saturday night I waxed the car up nicely and got it all ready for a 70's/80's RWD Import meet way out in Savannah, NY. It was mostly Z31 guys but me and Logikfive represented with my white '86 ESi-R and his black '88 TSi. Since buying the car 7 days prior to this, I had spent every single spare minute of my free time in the garage working on the car, getting it ready to drive, as soon as I could. When I bought the car it had been parked for over 6 years and it needed a bit of work, including a head swap to get it up to par.

Sunday was the meet, and I hit the interstate at expressway speeds for the very first time with the car. It went perfectly! Zero problems, leaks, break downs or funny smells to report. I put 250 miles on the car, Sunday and I returned home in one piece. I'm going to be daily driving it every day until it's time to leave for Pigeon Forge on July 6th just to be sure there are no problems.

Here's some pictures and video from the meet:
