Seekerz
Has anyone ever tried to modify and use the FI system from an 89-90 240sx? A buddy of mine has one from his old engine and i was curious if anyone had ever tried it. http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/mandalore666/Conquest/20756310016_large.jpg http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/mandalore666/Conquest/33108160036_large.jpg Now I do realize that id be changing from a left side set up to a right but I figured id adapt the two manifolds together into one. These are random Google images. Lance_S
I can't imagine the hole pattern would bolt up. Two different manufacturers.
Seekerz
ya i figured as much already. My line of thinking is cutting the two intakes and putting them together to make one that works.
dmyers151
The intake manifold for an SR20 is a pretty close match.

scott87star
THIS is what you should make fit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/SR20DET-Intake-Manifold-Individual-Throttle-Bodies-240sx-S13-S14-/310418690745?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D1691718446585724646%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26#ht_1559wt_825
SFBMX88
If you were going to run EFI parts off a KA24e, you could probably try the intake manifold off a Stanza or Axxess. Throttle body would be on the correct side for the StarQuest. Perhaps you could weld a G54B intake manifold flange onto it(assuming you get everything to line up). http://jdmengineworld.com/images/dvd/ka24e.JPG Edited August 31, 2012 by SFBMX88
TexasQuest
^ Bingo. Seeing these at my work from time to time (nissan tech) I've wondered the same thing. Hell the 2.2 mazda intake has been used before....

ESIrType?
Go for it! It's a fun project! But don't be disappointed if it doesn't work. I am not trying to be a downer. When I first did the Mazda 2.2 intake conversion with an adapter plate years ago, I didn't know if it would work. No one had done it yet. I did a lot of measuring and research. I was still mentally prepared to fail. In the end it worked out and was a really fun project and was cool to do something different and new that the community could also benefit from. I will say, if I had to do it again I would simply build an intake. I would have had much less time into building an intake than making another on work. Good luck,Shawn
