You know them vids of people using a car battery and a couple batteries to deploy air bags just for kicks? Well, that' s basically how. Dangerous. Shelby Posted February 17, 2012 Report Share Posted February 17, 2012 the air bag uses a capasitor systyem to store enought power to blow the pags,,, but normaly the chage will be gone after 18 hours or less , most states it's leagle for the owner to disable the air bags if they choise to do so,, that may be the deal in the vid or the system just didn't work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have seen cars similar to that rolling down the road. your assuming it was junk due to crash not just an ecotec that had a timing chain jump that wasnt worth fixing that was disposed of in true redneck style.
