  1. I am selling my Autronic SMC v1.92 (Autotune) on ebay. $799. This is a legit racing computer from a few years back. It even lets you do REAL pop-bang anti-lag if you so desire. http://www.ebay.com/...U-/191731704489 If someone on here is doing a 4G63 swap or MPI, I will throw in a custom shrink wrapped wiring harness (built to your specifications) for free. *might charge a few bucks for new connectors if you need them. ** I can mock up a 4G63 harness on my car but for MPI, you may need to give me the wiring lengths you desire... TL;DR We can talk and work out details. It is currently tuned for a 4G64 with DOHC head, FP3 cams, Holset HX35 @ 1bar, 1000cc FIC injectors.... (I also head a modified 1G intake, Wiseco pistons and a big 3" intercooler which might change the VE a little too). If you put together a very similar combo, imagine you'd need very little tuning to get it kicking some serious tail. I used it with the stock DSM CAS and so can you. I've seen a distributor with an adapter to run a DSM CAS.. this would work too. Pretty much every trigger setup 60-2, ford, etc. is supported too if you desire to read the manual and figure that out. More info in the ebay listing so read up! I will try to keep up on SQC, but you can also contact me on Facebook (Mike Blank) or Email: mike@projectzerog.com
  2. Based on the photo I took a while ago, it looks like only 3 of the lines.. oil feed, oil drain and one water line. I can check this weekend.
  3. http://projectzerog.com/forSale/12a01.jpg http://projectzerog.com/forSale/12a02.jpg Pulled this from my running SQ in 2011 when I started my current 4G64 swap. Bagged and safely stored for years and ready to sell. No shaft play, no leaks. Make offers + shipping from 21231. Willing to negotiate and if you need other stuff, just ask.
  4. Rise of the dead thread. How's everybody doing with their agreed upon value insurance? I'm finally planning on getting my SQ back on the road after being down the first 3.5 years I've owned it. What has changed since this thread was started in 2012? I live in the city with no driveways and few garages. Mostly street parking. Have been thinking about a garage spot since I'm getting this thing painted. If my first quote from JCTaylor was any indicator, I could pretty much break even taking my Miata off the road and renting a spot in a garage. Friend also has a garage if I had to list a garage that I *could* use if I just need to give them an address. That brings up another thing, do they all require some primary automobile? My primary transportation is my bike. I commute to work on it, grocery shop on it, go to bars on it. I drive my car maybe 80 miles a month currently compared to about 100 I put on my bike and that's mainly to drive to work on the SQ. Would be nice to if there was a company that would understand that my SQ would be a second vehicle to my bike.
  5. We're all set to come down. We're choosing to Couchsurf in Sevierville rather than stay in the hotel, but will still work in a time to meet up and chat. What's the schedule for the weekend? Will you guys be in the parade this year? Is it on Friday? Saturday we're going to Dollywood. We're planning on driving Tail of the Dragon and the Skyway all day Sunday as well ending up in Ashville, NC Also, I've got some parts I could bring down to sell. A good 12A Turbo, Spanish Casting Marnell Head, Good shortblock with ARP studs, throttle body assemblies... much more I can't remember right now. Would like to make the deal before we head down rather than just bringing it and hoping to sell it. Can get details, photos when I'm back to the shop all next week.
  6. I might actually come down for this. The girlfriend and I want to go to Dollywood on the 6th and its just so happens that you guys will be there so why not stay in the same hotel? Sadly I won't be bringing the Starion this year. Maybe next year. Guess I need to set these plans (we just started talking about it last night) and reserve a room.
  7. Sucks for him. I hear that while I was at work it was ticketed and then later towed. crappy in that the construction company posted the signs on the morning of the 17th, but wrote that they were posted on the 16th on the signs. Either way its been 48 hours since they were posted and I think the city says somewhere that you need to move your car at least every 2 days so this might be legal. Hope he finds out soon. Its probably already over $400 at this point.
  8. Car is Blue with TX tags. Real name is Anthony if I recall and when we talked he said hew as on here as either Quest19C or Conquest 19C. Anthony garages his car on my block and just the other day moved his blue Quest onto the street. My guess is to take his bike out because the weather was awesome all week. Unfortunately for him the city decided to repave the street and put up signs with a one day warning the next day (law requires 2 days and the construction company pre-dated the hang date of the signs, but that's another story). Looks like they might tow him this morning. Hopefully just a relocation, but just in case I'd like to make sure he knows so if it does go to impound that he can get it out before it racks up too big of a bill. Luckily the car is without an air dam, but its got a big IC just hanging out up front. ~Mike 410-861-7369
  9. I had looked in there a few times and called out his names the night before and last night. Didn't seem to be anyone there. Door was half up. First time I put it down, it went back up.. must have hit something. Moved a board and a jackstand and it went down and stayed down. I imagine he started putting the door down and left and never knew it went back up on him.
  10. It was still open last night so I just went in and closed it. Will leave a note tonight to let him know. Probably broke a few laws going in, but whatevers.
  11. Official HKS Starion... in Japan: http://groupbrally.com/old/images/mitsubishi/hks4wd/hks1.jpg
  12. This car has a 2.6 for sure, so its not serpentkilla. Hrmmm.. I hope the garage wasn't broken into.
  13. This dude garages his car up the street from me and his garage door has been half open since last night. He lives a few blocks away so I'm wondering if he knows.
  14. Nice to see another one of these swaps. How did you do your steering column?
  15. I did the drifting thing from 2003 - 2009. My first event was DG Trials DOW #2... actually 10 years ago TODAY. That group eventually became Club Loose. Met all these dudes like Petty, The Turecks, JR Gittin, Forsberg, Tony Angelo among others when they were still drifting their daily drivers / mom's car. Admittedly, they were already amazing 10 years ago and only got better over time. Still amazes me that those dudes are THE pros now. Did NJ events as often as I could. Started doing US Drift events like Hyperfest and the old ones down in Richmond and VIR. Spun a bearing at Charlotte at the end of the 2003 season and then did a 4G63 swap that winter. Helped get my friend Matt's car going for Formula Drift back in... '05 or '06 with MA-Motorsports right around the time they were switching from Hondas to drift cars. It was a fun time and served me pretty well at building my confidence back after college. I moved to DC after traveling for 6 months in 2008. DC was fun, but its impossible to have a car down there, let alone work on it. Tried for a while, but couldn't justify driving an hour to the shop every weekend when there were perfectly good women with accents inviting me out to drink. The car did win out quite a few weekends though. Refined my swap at least once in there, but only managed to hit two events. One event I lost power steering due to a loose bolt early in the day and then a few months later at another event I kicked a rod out the side of the block on my first run. That was it. I was done. One time in 2011 I thought it would be fun to give it another go. I looked at the Club Loose rule book and realized it would take at least a few grand to get it back on track and it just didnt make sense. I decided to get rid of what I could including 3 chassis and then bought a relatively clean Conquest to swap all the race parts over to for a fun street car. Spent a year working on it and then bought a house so it just sits now at about 90% complete. Not planning on giving up though. Once I get caught up on my home renovations, I'm planning on finishing it up. Would be fun to run some Club Loose events again in B-Group.
  16. http://visualeconomics.creditloan.com/losing-effort-the-united-states-war-on-drugs/ I was thinking about this last night. It really baffles me why they end this War on Drugs so they can focus on treatment and enforcement of crimes. I live in Baltimore where this stuff is all around so its not like I dont see it every day. Police just want to keep the low hanging fruit of drug enforcement so they can keep getting more money from tax payers to target certain groups of people. Politicians are too selfish to look at the economics and science to make policies that would really work. The US spends about $15 BILLION dollars a year on drug enforcement. Imagine that $15 BILLION going to treatment / other real policing. Most of the property crimes in my neighborhood would disappear over night if crack heads could go somewhere safe to get their fix for free. No need to break into cars for change. No need to rip out people copper pipes for scrap money, no need to rob people on the street to get high. They could get a warm place to sleep so they're not on my front step in the morning. They wouldnt be building fires in abandoned buildings to stay warm at nihgt. That is just on the addict level. This doesnt even begin to touch on organized crimes (lots of latino gangs around here). Just like gangsters during prohibition, they wouldn't be able to survive in a marketplace where drugs were being given away in treatment centers or sold in the bar / pharmacy / dispensary. With gangs out of power, we'd see a drop in all of the initiation crimes, gang killings, turf wars, etc. In addition to the drug use and crime, housing drug offenders in prisons costs billions every year as well. So much money flows through this system its created a business of its own that feeds the politicians who make the laws that perpetuate the broken policies. Its been proven in Portugal that decriminalizing drugs + treatment reduced drug use by half (http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2011/07/05/ten-years-after-decriminalization-drug-abuse-down-by-half-in-portugal/) Prohibition simply doesn't work. We learned this as a nation in the first half of last century. Why can't we move on? Interesting note... Maryland is known as The Free State because during prohibition there were no state or local laws prohibiting alcohol and no enforcement by state or local police. The feds could still enforce the Federal laws though. During this time we had some of the lowest crime in our cities compared to other east coast cities.
  17. Build a moonshine still and turn all the sugar from the food that's going bad into race fuel. That solves at least 3 problems right there.
  18. I remember about 10 years ago driving through a ritzy neighborhood at night to swim in a pool where a friend was house sitting. We were told to keep really quiet (5 college kids in sports cars). The distributor cap said eff that and loosened up a screw in the dizzy. It bounced around randomly firing the plugs as it pleased. Sounded like gunshots until it finally shut off. Sort of embarassing. One of the earlier roadside fixes if I remember right. I think the 2.6 lasted a few more months and then spun a bearing and I went with a 4G63. The rest was history.
  19. This seriously took all day: http://sketchup.goog...ba6&prevstart=0 Enjoy! The model on 3Dwarehouse has the highest quality components that were in the original Forza file. I stripped out all of the other, lower quality parts to save file space. I have a version that keeps all of the levels of detail, but it was too big to upload (11MB). I can get it to anyone who wants it.
  20. Yeah. Was Google Sketchup, but they sold it to Trimble recently. Still easy to use and free.. for now. I'll try to get this file cleaned up and online this afternoon. I've got a new technique to organize it compared to yesterday which should make it MUCH easier to manage all the parts without having to delete or move any of the geometry.
  21. I remember all the youtube videos of the build... well at least I remember the ta-tas.
  22. Thanks Zone for converting the Forza Starion to Sketchup. I'm working on cleaning up the file for about 5 hours. It had many layers of overlapping detail. I'm stripping out all the low detail geometry and keeping the high detail. I'll make easy to understand components and groups in sketchup and when I'm happy I'll upload it to 3Dwarehouse for everyone to play with.
