4cylFury
I have always been around. I know what a dyno queen is and that numbers don't mean anything. No disrespect, but I felt that was a call out. I had a blast both times we dynoed the car, but I'm not hanging my hat on it 6 years later. I've been drag racing my Z06 for the past 5 years and had lost interest in the car but that has changed. Once I work out a few things, my Quest will be a drag queen like yours. BTW, autos are for sissys. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif True dragsters run autos and in Drag Racing there are no Drag Queens. There called Dragsters. Looking forward to seeing some videos. Even of that slow vette of yours http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif LOL. BTW, Did you realy spend 15K to get your 500HP? Edited June 11, 2011 by 4cylFury

Even of that slow vette of yours http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif LOL. BTW, Did you realy send 15K to get your 500HP? No, I didn't "pony up 15K so we can do this to your car". That's just silly. Actually have probably spent more than that over the years but never really kept count. Now back on topic....When are you gonna take your car to a real dragstrip? Not one of those half strips
Technology
He lives his life an 1/8th mile at a time, and for those 13 seconds or less.... he's free. Haha! I love big dyno numbers, but I love a good tune even better. You can do that on a dyno or at a drag strip. Makes no difference, except it's easier to get it done professionally on a dyno. Making it sound that's what you spent. As for the tracks. I have two 1/8 mile tracks less an a 1/2 mile from my house. I will take the 2 hour ride soon to the 1/4 mile and post it. When are you going to post your track runs? Edited June 12, 2011 by 4cylFury

If you can run better then a 6.80 then post it. Yes, I'm calling you out. And I do have a dyno professional tune on my car. If it takes you 13 seconds in the 1/8 you need to sell it. When are you going to post your track runs? Kelly has these cars down to a science and knows exactly what is needed to make power. You are fortunate to have so many tracks close to you. There is only one 1/4 track left in So.Cal and it's in danger of being closed. The next closest one is also almost 2 hours away in Bakersfield. I'll get some runs soon enough. Funky Phil
With 560whp........ So you launched and then let out??
Questsi
With 560whp........ So you launched and then let out?? Not really......The car wouldn't boost past 25psi given the altitude at LACR so it wasn't making anywhere close to that power. It bogged out of the hole regardless of how I launched plus the stock trans wouldn't let me shift at high rpm. I'm not one to make excuses but the car really ran like crap that day. I'm certain it'll run better now with the AEM, t56 tranny and a 2 step. Just maybe not as fast as Joe's.

Actually those settings didn't work for me. But I do appreciate you trying you help me out. SDS is not the ECU if you want to make power. I feel you why you lost interest in it after running a 12.8 with a 569HP car. LOLhttp://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif Just kidding. I'm happy to hear your going back to the track to show these other guys what can be done with these quest. There are not many of us out there making big power and taking it to the track to show what it got. I tired of these Honda's getting all the hype and the guys that do the motor swaps that's cool if that what you want but I'm a 2.6 guy for life and you give me a chance to run a V8 at the track and i'm all over it. So get your quest to the track and drive like you stole it.

In reality, I'd love to race in the east coast where they have that magical air.

Technology
I was joking in that last post I made. No offense meant. But it's still true that tuning on a nice dyno with a knowledgable tuner is faster and more controlled (obviously) than a bunch of drag strip runs. Anyway, I have gone 13.2 @ 115mph with 390hp and a 2.something second 60 foot. I'll take it out again sometime and try to go faster. Anyway, 4cylfury, you cut a huge chunk out of the rear fender(s)! Why is that?
BOOSTED88tsi
Looks like its for the big tail slicks! I was going to ask couldn't you have just got coils and raised it up?
4cylFury
The rim was too wide. I was told it would fit. NOT!! I got the wheels cheap. 15x10 it will be going to the body shop this winter. I got a little crazy with the cutting. I know it looks bad. Coils would not work. The car drops down too much when I launch. Edited June 14, 2011 by 4cylFury
