Progress has slowed drastically on this thing lately. I managed to clean up the engine bay some, and found my braided ABS delete line.

My lady and I have just recently discovered mini-GP road racing... This may throw a wrench into the works of this resto.

... and we're back on with this thing.

Floor space has dwindled in the shop due to my own need for more 80's junk, haha.

In any event, I'll be slowly chipping away at this project over the winter. Probably going to pull the motor & trans so I can clean everything up.

Do it once, do it right.

Space has been reclaimed, and the townspeople rejoiced! Haha, I sold the Daytona, and bought a little Mazda truck for commuting. Should help me save a ton over driving my Ram 1500 back and forth:

Progress is slow but steady on the car, I pulled the hood off on Saturday night and began removing engine bay stuff to prepare for the big clean. Those are scrap 2x4 bits and a rag holding the hood latch off the windshield. Also you can see one super clean shock tower:

Got side tracked with a countershaft seal on my moto bike:

...and putting a small cat in someones purse.

More updates as I get to them. I will say that's its a big confidence booster knowing you have a complete car to reference if things get hairy.

Finally got motivated and pulled the motor last night. Not too much of a fight.

I must say, you guys that follow your builds super close must be washing your hands every five minutes, or have filthy cameras, lol.

The bellhousing is caked with greasy crud.

We rolled the head lights up the other night out of boredom, makes the car look more optimistic, haha

g54b cylinders make great cup holders.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do next, whether I should start putting the motor back together, clean up the engine bay, or pull the dash and replace the heater core. Either way, there will be progress, I've got some motivation now, and some ideas for what this thing will look like...

Lol, Jesse.

There were some crumps left, but I just chalked them up as a lost cause. One of the guys from next door came by 2 weeks ago and drank one of those bottles though. I nearly s*** myself when I turned around and he's nearly done with the thing. I just kept them around as a joke, I thought dude was gonna die, haha.

Having a buddy come by the shop on Wednesday night and we're gonna start working on clean up. Going to try and make Wednesdays my regular shop day.
