allen405
I was talking to my friend at work about the brass frost plugs I bought for the quest block and he asked me "why brass, is it better than the regular ones?" I guess I don't know. So I will ask you guys

Metric-man
Ok, but doesn't brass corrode oxidize against dissimular metal? Brass is used for corrosion resistance in most industrial environmentsfor example "marine" and "electrical" which would be the most probable explaination why they are best for freeze plug applications due to the Galvanic corrosion that occurs between dissimilar metals, "Frost plugs" where do you find those, are they cheaper because they're thinner than freeze plugs ? I would just stick to freeze plugs.
Whiplash
Brass plugs won't rust, look nicer, and are easier to install. BTW the proper name is "Core Plugs".
