Nice car only thing i would be worried about with the miles would be auto trans cause with the upgrades somone has beat on it and what looks to be stock injectors,for the price those are things i would worry about.Also if your thinking of going mpi add another grand on top of that price you could find 1 done or close to it for that price just my 2 cents gl.

1 owner car, an 89 at that I would say its worth that but its not practical for a mostly stock car. If the mpi conversion was already done with a proper engine management system then maybe. . . MAYBE that price

$4000 and only because I'm a sucker for Fiji. If it has 124k miles on it then it's due for a serious looking over. If it were a recent rebuild and MPI then his price would be reasonable imo

From the mods its has the car looks to be no less than $5,000

 

$6,200 is probably what is worth (if everything is in good shape) but the value and time dedicated to keep it in great shape from 1 owner is something you need to consider.

I would sell the MPI and also want the stock exhaust if I buy it and would rather return the car back to mostly stock. since we're family I can get the car for 3500.00 would I be crazy to pass this up?

$3500 is a good price for the car. And you dont have to sell the MPI just yet. It isnt on the car and you may decide later on that you want to give it a go. It would be nice to already have that as a great starting point for an MPI build. What exhaust does it have now? You can probably find a muffler that is very close to the stock one and just put it on the current exhaust without hurting performance. More free flowing exhaust is always a plus with a turbo car. Looks like a sweet deal. Add your location to your profile info so maybe some local to you members can check out the car with you and help you with any potential problems. JUST My 2 cents. The car's worth what you're willing to pay for it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've owned 4 of these vehicles and everytime I've sold one it took a part of my heart with it. There's no checking the blue book on these cars because there's too much sentiment behind em. Location is another thing. It's a pain in the butt to find one in Texas but go to New York and there's a good selection. Then you're asking guys on this forum what's it worth. In my experience, not many people on this forum are willing to pay what "normal" people would. They think they know too much, to be "suckered", and they may be right. But hey, all 3 people I've sold the car's too at $3K were extremely happy with there truly unique purchase and not one car had the work or looked as good as the one you're about to buy.
