as it says i have a red 86 conquest for sale $2000 obo... it is mostly stock un molested. it does have a 2.5 downpipe and 2.5 straight exhaust with a magna flow muffler. its running 11 psi. car runs and drives just fine.NO RUST. paint is a little rough with a few door dings the car had when i got it. it will need new tires. i would love to keep it but i just cant afford too right now. will consider trading for a running montero or raider with a 2.6 motor that is running with good tires. must be a 4x4.

the car has a starion hatch on it, the one with TURBO written in the glass. the car was painted at one point in its life (not by us) and its fading, has some heat crackin on the hood, and some places peeling off on the wing.

i have some errands to run, i will get some pics of the paint when i get back for you.

original motor as far as we know, i will peak at the mileage when i get back also.

the car used to belong to erin (TAZ) here on the boards and has attended PF a couple times i believe.

the paint job has a couple runs, here is one below the door lock.

as you can see the paint is still fairly shiny on the sides for red, red is the worst color in the world for fading. this is also where the dings are in the car.

honestly its not that bad at all, i have seen FAR WORSE paint jobs, and worse shape paint. its a very clean car overall. you really dont even knotice the paint until you get right up on it. as you can see in the pics she posted in her first post from a few feet back the car looks good.

also dont forget this is a 86 guys, has factory turbo doorhadles and MANUAL SEATBELTS that everyone loves. if i wasnt selling my car also i would total swap the seat belts out of this car into mine.

this weekend we are going to get both cars cleaned up nice and take some updated pics of both of them. mines been up for sale for a couple weeks now with nothing but tire kickers sending me messages about it. we dont wanna have to do it but they may hit ebay and craigslist shortly.

The Starion Hatch is off of a L05 car that I still own. I also still have the original hatch from that car, it just looks rough. If the hatch is that big of an issue I can work out some sort of deal to get the original hatch to the new owner.

Also the miles on the car are NOT ACTUAL. The cluster went bad and the only cluster I had to replace it with was the one out of my 88 SHP which had a TON more miles on it. I can easily find out the miles it had on it when I swapped the cluster. But I'm thinking the car is reading about 40-50k more miles on it than it should.

That car was originally bought by a lady in Christiansburg Va. When she went to trade it in the dealership only wanted to give her 2 grand for the car and she wouldn't let it go. An owner of a body shop in Pulaski Va offered her 4 grand for the car and she sold it. The shop owner's son drove the car for a while, but it spent most of its life at the body shop. Thus where the repaint came from. If you look closely at the car (at least when I owned it) there's a good bit of over spray all over the body.

I happened to find the car by pure accident one day and stopped to talk to the guy about it. Three days later I returned and bought the car. I drove that car daily for close to 5 years. I let it go because I purchased my current Olive Grey car and completely lost interest the Red 86.

I let the car go to a close personal friend and long time member of this community, who then sold it to Candi.

That's a rough background of the car and I'm more than willing to help answer ANY questions bout the history of that car.

It is a solid car that has been very well taken care of and it deserves a wonderful home.

candi and i talked about the cars last night, neither of us really want to sell the cars and if they dont sell by the end of this month they are getting tucked away in a garage and be stored for a while.

we dont have to sell them, we are choosing to sell them for various reasons. they are both GREAT running and driving cars and are well worth the money thats being asked for them in compairison to some of the other cars i have seen for sale (no offense to anyone). we will NOT sell them for less then they are really worth, if the dont sell they will go into storage and be forgot for a while until we take care of a few things.

older pic, the car does NOT i repeat does NOT have the chrome hardpipes on it anymore, it has stock pipes on it again. so it looks just like this but with stock pipes, and it doesnt have a bugy cord holding the battery, it has a metal tie down strap on it now.

the a/c is not in working condition but i dont think we ever removed any of the peices.

the front seats are in ok shape but the leather is pretty hard, the tops of the rear seats have small tears where they are seperating at the seams from seeing extreme heat thru the rear window.
