v1xiii
Hey guys, I was wondering if you could supply me with an Autozone or O'Reilly's link to a pre-pump in-line fuel filter that will work well. The idiot mechanic I took my car to, to have the tank flushed and a new fuel pump installed, claims that the car wouldn't start because the new Bosch 69400 wasn't strong enough to get fuel flowing through the one he tried on it (who knows what that might have been) so he sent it out without an in-line filter on top of not putting the hatch floor back together, not strapping down the fuel pump, and causing my fuel gauge to not read correctly..... Needless to say, he's going to fix it all how it's supposed to be, or there's going to be a situation. So if you could get me a link to a specific filter that will work, so I can tell him exactly which one to use, that would be fantastic.
Starship88
i use one from advance purolator number p21111 they can cross the number if needed, these filter work fine, no trouble pulling through unless clogged
v1xiii
Thanks, my guess is that he tried a high pressure filter of some kind on there that was much too dense to get anything from the suction end of the pump.
Dad
Be sure that the little cone filter is not still stuck in the line. Dad
v1xiii
I'll make sure to double check with him on that. He said he replaced the hoses, but who knows.
Shelby
it's a na carb gas filter not fuel inj , there is no pressure at the filter only suction so it'l be fine,, no way a pump will suck thru a fuel inj filter why would any one NOT mount an electric fuel pump , that sounds a bit stupid and you can tell him i said so
v1xiii
His excuse was that the original pump wasn't mounted to anything either. Which I highly doubt.
