Mustang Cobra 13" PBR Caliper brackets

Ok, getting this done now, and I need to know whos interested. I have thoroughly tested them on the street and under extreme track use. The bracket will allow you to bolt up 98-04 mustang cobra 13" PBR calipers to the front of a stock quest with a little bit of work. They are hand made out of 3/4" T6061 T6 aluminium, like just about every big brake kit in the world.

You can buy what you need on ebay for $300-$400 for the complete set up, or you can piece it together yourself. Also, parts are SUPER cheap, and you can get pads and rotors at ANY auto parts store. So far, this is the cheapest big brake upgrade I've seen for our cars.

PLEASE NOTE: The brakes are NOT a direct bolt up. The hub bore on the quest it too large for the mustang rotors. You have two options, have the hub turned, or have the rotors turned. I recommend having the hubs turned because you will change rotors more than you change hubs. Also the caliper itself will need to have one of the ears grinded down to make work, it serves no purpose, but needs to be clearenced so the caliper can move. (more on this later, its a 2 min side grinder job)

ALSO NOTE: They will not work with stock wheels! 17's and up only. I made them as close as possible, but the calipers are large. I can provide dimensions for them so you can check.

*As you all know, these are in no way DOT approved and by purchasing, you assume all liability by installing these on your car. *Off road use only. I will provide online direction and as much support as possible to ensure that they are installed correctly for your safety.

We are looking at $130 shipped, all hardware included.

*Update 5/9/13 Fitted up last night, all good to go. Obviously the stock dust shield will have to be trimmed or removed to allow installation.

Hey John... I think this to be a very viable alternative, since Stang parts are so readily available, & really quite reasonably priced. Also, they're not gonna go away. When you say all hardware included: ? I believe I would be interested in getting in on this, thanx, & you can put me down, as I have been going back & forth on where I really want to go w/ a Big Break System. Is this gonna be front only for now? Or... is there a possibility of rear coming into the picture? If for nothing else, to match up? Thanx dude! ;)

Yes I agree, its by no means the best system but, it is better and larger than stock, also provides use of any upgraded brake system for a mustang 98-2004. Anything that uses the stock mustang mounting points will work, plus MUCH better options for pads. You could do this mod for around $500 total.

By hardware I mean 8 mounting bolts w/ washers and 2 brackets. I am going to be developing something for the rears soon, most likely be for a separate caliper for the hand brake.

I'm in for this too.

Do you think that the stock Booster and master cylinder are adequate for the larger calipers? I know you are using mustang parts there also, and say it was a big hassle.

Dag, I wanna keep my 16's but just bought a front spindle/brembo brake setup from a FC RX-7, guess I'm going that way.. The rear double caliper setup, I am in!
