ID these rims. SHP?

Found these and want to be sure they're SHP 9s. Despite the seller's assurance they are, they look like 8s to me. I'm asking for pics of the codes inside to verify before going further.

Besides the codes & eyeball test, what are the identifying differences? Same goes for 8" rears vs. 8" front SHPs (they have different spacing and aren't really swappable from what I've read). There used to be an old post on this, but I couldn't find it.

yeah, they just got measured wrong as people tend to do instead of asking.

Indeed. Buuuut the OP asked before he bought. At least thats what I'm assuming.

I didn't buy these. Just found em on an ad last night and talked to him today. He is certain that he has 7s & 9s that he bought for to use on a diff. car but claims they were too wide for his fenders. I'm asking for pics of the code stamped inside before bothering to meet up and see em.

Thanks for the good pic Indy. Its easier to tell at an angle but the specifics will help this process since so many people get em confused.

Thanks for the help guys. Brad & Indy - I assume the same box around the stamp is an indicator of front 8" SHPs, vs a standard non-SHP rear? How about the recessed center lines?

That pic of yours is money btw Indy.

FYI - here's the link to the CL ad that brought this up:

actually, those look like a set of rear 8's and a set of rear 9's. The rear 8's will rub if put up front.

so two of those are shp, the other two are not. You can see the boxes clear as day.

Rolled fenders FTW. Rear 8s are sexy all the way around. Just look at Robert's.

You're right. The 2 above look like my standard 8s. Rabbit's right that the other 2 on that listing are SHPs (see below). How can we tell those are SHP 9s, vs. SHP 8s? Do the SHP 8s have the same center bevels near the cap? If these are 9s, I'll want em.

on the back side of the spokes, it'll say 8x16 and ET18 for the SHP 8, for the rear 9... 9x16 and ET0

NON-shp's will say 7x16 ET18 and 8x16 ET-10

Plus the "bow" of the spokes will be much more on the 9's, the 8's will be flatter, here's my SHP set when I was last stripping them of paint (9's are on the right, 8's to the left and rear)
