Mine are struggling to retract and sometimes completely freezing halfway on the track with this cold weather. I'm assuming it's the old belt motors and not a dirt/cleaning issue. Realize that the original stuff is 25+ years old and all the light ends have boiled away leaving only behind gum. You need to take everything apart, clean off the gum and re-grease. Happened to my flatty, last winter I did the drivers side and it went from non-functional to completely normal. Weird because in warmer weather they function near perfect. Never the less I do need to take time and do some maintenance on the belt system just for the good of the car.
