obviously our cars have automatic seatbelts when you get into the car. but i noticed that when you pull hard on them they dont lock like a regular seatbelt. so how can this be a safety feature? and when you do lean forward to see when the belt stops it stops right before you hit your head on the dash, but if it were an accident the impact would cause your head to hit the dash anyway(or steering wheel) so is there a way to make the seatbelts "lock" or do they lock when it senses an impact?

I found an base model 84 (es?) in a junkyard.  It didn't have power windows, locks, seatbelts.  It did have a different consol than the 88 I have.   This consol had a "oldschool" style radio with the two knobs on each side.   Several people at the last St.Louis meet had never seen this consol before, so I thought I'd post.   Its the perfect consol to mount an normal aftermarket radio in.  As a plus the little door can provide a "hidden" way to mount turbo timers and other such goodies  ;D

Yes gettin close. We have the 1G ecu and harness on the way. We have the slave cylinder ordered. We have the drive shaft in the shop. HOPEFULLY next weenend it might be started.
