I have hood strut brackets but no struts. I can buy them for about $10 but I don't know how much force they need. Can anyone with hood struts press them down on a scale to get a ballpark of how much weight they can hold? Also from center to center on the ball sockets I'm assuming they are going to be about 14" fully extended.

My power steering pump is leaking fluid out of the front main seal right behind the pulley. If i get the rebuild kit, should it fix this leak?
