In my 87 tsi whe i press any button on my ac it makes the beep noise so i know its sending the signal but then nothing happens from there. Any ideas?

My Story So I've been lurking around here for sometime. I used to me a total mazda guy. I've had more RX-7s than I can remember but I always wanted quest. Then I found one. California car, not a stich of rust, 80,000 miles.
