My clutch fork feels like its not connected to anything and sits in the disengaged position I can push it to engage but pops back

I tried to add to the FAQ but it's locked so i will throw this out there. If the mods feel it's addition worthy than let r rip.   The infamously dreaded broken hood release cable happened to me yesterday. So while I was gone last year, my friend did some funny business with the clutch pedal. After replacing the master and slave with brand new parts, he built a little extension for the rod inside the car (and removed my nice bushing, causing some further wear on the clevis pin, no biggie, got that taken care of).
