Hood mod(gas dampers)

Here is a modification I have made for the hood.
These are actualy a pair of aftermarket dampers for the opel Calibra hood, that have been modified.

;DNow I don't have to worry about the hood slaming shut, if the hood holder pin gets knocket away , when I work in the enginecompartment.
And the hood is so easy to open!!

Frame rust

Just picked up an 88 Conquest this weekend. I would like to eventually have this thing restored. Found on the passanger's side, a section of the frame is rusted through, anyway to cut out the rusted portion and get a new piece of steel welded in?

Some of you probably read my post in the BS section about converting my black interior to a tan/black interior. Anyway, it's finally completed. Here's what my interior looked like before the conversion:
Everything was stock except for the '87 front seats, aftermarket cassette player, and portable CD player. Here's what it looks like now:
All the tan interior pieces you see in the pictures were originally black! To change the color, I used Dupli-Color brand Vinyl & Fabri
