where oh where can i get a new one or can I?Local shop priced me $250 plus cost of parts to rebuild my 88 trans.its allready out of car and sitting on garage floor.If i can get what I need i can do myself.Or is it like home HVAC stuff and the parts wholesellers only sell to shops? Im ok with the shops $250 ish for fixing my 5 speed if its a good deal.I need car drivable very soon.I doubt i can find good used 5 speed anywhere close.I havent tried yet but the only starion around anywhere I know

Woohooo. Happened about a week ago. First time ever. Surprised the crap out of me. Then it happened a few more times so I pulled one from a parts car and installed it. The old one did have a small kink in it.   I put the new (used) one in and greased it just for good measure.   Sure enough, that one is sticking as well.   Anyone have this happen to them? common on quests? wierd that happens on both cables. I will have to take a better look at the opening through the firewall and see if
