Stupid O-ring!

I finished cleaning out the new shop today, (still needs garage door and electricity) and was going to move in the Conquest for some pictures... went to start the car and smelled gas while cranking. Popped the hood and fuel was spraying out where fuel line enters the fuel rail. It was raining, so I haven't taken it apart yet, but I assume it is a simple O-ring seal like other Mitsubishi fuel systems. The news wheels are DPE RO5 wheels 18x10-0 in the rear 18x9-0 up front. Intermittent Sputtering at speed , or will die at idle and not start

i thought i was 100% sure it was fuel pump or knock box so i changed both and didnt worry about the issue anymore. Well today on my way home ( 3 hour drive) about hal way it started sputtering and bucking( engine is shuting off) but if i kept it above 2000 rpms and kept the rpms steady it would stay running an i drove it the rest of the way like that. Up for sale is my 1987 Conquest TSI Red over black Chassis has 103,000 miles on it. Engine has 20,000 miles on it with the head gaskets and head having only 2000 miles or less. Things that are new or have been replaced and serviced: Rebuilt half shafts, cleaned, inspected, replaced housings and repacked.
