Somebody quick!! Which distributor???
By phishfud,
Thank god this Magna gp keeps getting extended, as I should be able to squeak in. I am planning on getting the intake setup for a US spec head and supply a US Ford TB. I also plan on using an SDS system. Question is, should I just use the stock distributor or get the Magna Dizzy??? Will the Magna dizzy even work with an SDS?? Please help quick so I know if I should order a Dist or not. thanks alot.

SDS Hall Sensor and EMI from alternator
By Boosted_One,
Just a tip... keep the wiring from the hall sensor as far away from the alternator as possible.
I installed Tim C's 110 amp alternator and I left the wiring the same as it was prior to the new motor. The wiring ran along the side of the alternator and the block.
The higher amp alternator evidentally creates a bit more EMI (electro magnetic interference) and it was giving an RPM ERR randomly.
I moved it about 3-4" away from the alternator and it fixed it.
Just a heads up...
Question for the Magna crowd
By eeaston,
Just working on getting mine installed... Did you have any clearance problems between the fuel rail and the plumbing against the firewall? After a prelim fitment, mine wants to impinge on the PS lines and the heater hose that doesn't connect to the manifold(drivers left). Anyone have this prob?
