    Intake tubing. Materials discussion.

    so I'm gonna get around to making some intake tubing. and have been thinking about what material to use.   so, seems like aluminum would take engine bay temps and transfer it to the charge air faster than steel.   but seems like steel would just keep it's temperature longer (engine bay temp).   Ideally a composite or something insulated to keep the temps away from each other.   this is all on the assumption that engine bay temp is hotter than charge air temp.       anyone have any input or e

    Question about a 2001 Montero

    Do D2s "settle"?

    I installed my D2s beginning of last month and I just now noticed that they seem to sit lower then when I had set them after the install. After the install I set them to around 26" from top of wheel well to bottom of the tire. All 4 dampers are on the hardest setting and the springs were preloaded 2 full turns. There was enough gap between the top of the tire and the wheel well to put my fingers in flat. I look at it now and there is no visible gap like before and now measures around 25.5" f

    Every once in a while I put up an ad for my baby in hopes of finding a spotless highly modified starquest.. I by no means am in any big push to get rid of this car, but I have always wanted a quest. Looking for the right trade..   1994 Pontiac TransAm. T-tops.
