Ok after checking everything and about to swap out my lifters with new ones i searched and found what is most likely my problem. The engine was rebuilt with ARP studs before i got the motor and the valve cover was not modified at all. I just recently pulled it off and the driver side rear of the valve cover looks like s***. This is the last thing i thought that could make the tapping sound. What areas exactly need to be cut/modified to clear the rockers/arp studs? Pics please!!!
