    86 timing is off.

    By Cloud81918,
So my car is running Ok. I know it has a bit of a timing issue that I need to resolve. I thought I had everything right when it went together. But now I'm not so sure. I think the cam is off a tooth after the rebuild. I can't dial the timing in right and whatever I do. I'm either about 15 degrees or more advanced or 15 degrees or more behind. Is it true that I can correct this without taking the whole front of the engine apart? Can I take it to TDC, figure out with way the cam is off and the fix

For the diff I bought GL-5 85W-140 so I'm not too concerned about that but I bought GL-5 80W-90 for the tranny because they didn't sell GL-4 and neither did any of the nearby Pepboys. Will I be okay with this?   By the way I read th
