I just got my maft hooked up and there is a major misfire when any boost is present. Had the same problem before the maf-t. My first guess would be the distributor vacuum adv/retard is not working but it seems to work when I apply vac or pressure (just swapped and same prob). Can anyone think of any other reason this would happen? This is a newly installed engine swap from a 88 starion into a 87 montero.I checked the wiring from ecm to the maf-t because it was missing the plug just like the maf-

hey guys, been gone awhile again. 2 kids, wife, work ect ect. life gets crazy. selling our old house and moved on base. finally got some internet again woohoo! I see that the boards have...definitely changed! my 10 month old keeps grabbing my laptop so I will definitely have to scour the boards and see what you have all been up to!

Greetings from South Florida!   I'm Chris. I currently own a 97 Eclipse GSX as a fun car. I've had turbo Ford Rangers, IS300 turbo, and an Eclipse GST in 2002. After looking around I found an auto 88Starion that I'm going to buy and go the 2JZ route.   Just want to say thanks for the amount of info the members of this board has provided.
