    4.22 swap concerns

    mstieg
    By mstieg,
I picked up a used D-50 pumpkin but have been told by my rear end guy there is surface rust on the gears meaning some water got in there   He's also concerned about possible/likely noise due to existing wear on the gearing and not being able to match it back up perfectly as it wore into.   Is this a sound concern (pun or not)??   A search for 4.22 came up no match, but I'll try to find the few members experienced in doing this.       I'm also looking for a new set or an existing SQ rear with 4.

    Rust removal

It was a liquid you submerge ya parts in a bucket and cover the parts completely in a room temp setting and when the process was complete ya hose it off completely with water. It was supposed to be real easy on the skin and rubber seals. I did several checks on the forums with no results. I just found a few which mention cutting out rust patches and BC 99 gas tank woes. Any help on this will be greatly apprec
