So I got the asbestos removed from the attic and looked around up there. It appears rats have been up there for 20-30 years. It's really disgusting. Wires chewed, drain vent pipes with holes chewed in them. The insulation is all destroyed. So far I have found 5 rat corpses. They were getting in through the garage. Since I have that cleaned out I have stopped them from getting in. But dealing with the mess is a little gross. It really stinks like rat pee up there.   http://i463.photobuck
