I'm planning on a throttle body rebuild soon and have been contemplating deleting the egr valve. Would there be any benefits from removing it or would it actually hurt performance and drivability? I've heard both sides over the years so I've played it safe and left it on for now.

Well this is odd. Car idles fine. When you drive Down the road in any gear in any rpm. As soon as you coast the car acts like you just cut power to it. I'm not sure if its a fuel problem or spark problem yet.I only have a narrowband since I'm just running factory 12a. And it shuts down when this happenes. As soon as you get back on the throttle then it comes back to life. It's just strange to me. I'll list what is new or have been done.   New nj head 7031 plugs New wires (import direct) New vac
