I had a set of door locks, with the actuators, sent over to fit to my european flatty 86 that never had central locking. It looks like the way the linkages hook up, the key barrel no longer directly actuates the lock mechanism, but instead has a reed switch attached to it, that signals the central locking system to unlock the doors with the solenoids. I am looking for an old laptop preferably IBM but as long as it is durable and has a decent screen brightness I am fine.   The specs I need -serial port -floppy drive -hard drive 20Gb is plenty   I will use this only for taking to the track with me and downloading/analizing data from my car. Let me know if you have anything? I just figured I would throw it out there before I spend way to much money on e-bay. Someone must have one laying around that they will never use again?
