Has anyone been able to come up with a bracket for the alternator that will eliminate the A/C section?  I think it was a silly design to have one big bracket for the both systems, and would like to clean up the look down there.  Any ideas?   Thanks Jake

Instead of spending countless hours polishing the aluminum valve cover & oil cap, my dad had the idea of sandblasting them. They turned out great in my opinion. The parts now have a silver/grey color and look glittery. Here's the picture:     What do you guys think? I'm also thinking about parkerizing some on the engine bay parts, such as the turbo heat shields and OVCP.   Joshua

I am looking into a v8 conversion in an 88 quest tsi for a friend and I am finding the info on this matter is widely spread and hard to find so if anyone could help me out on info on this swap I would appreciate it.  Also what is the website for the guy that sells the kit?

Anybody had success yet in terms of isolating a CD changer from the bumps and vibrations caused by lowered springs, sport shocks, and polyurethane bushings?   I know with those stiffer suspension components, they transmit road imperfections and vibrations a lot more to the rest of the car causing cd changers to skip.  Anybody have any experience on this?   MANGO
