Homemade cold air intake
By newstar1,
Hey I just made a cold air intake out of one of those 20$ autozone cone filters. It was really easy. I first tore apart the stock air box and MAS so the MAS was seperate from everything else then I cut the to circles in half, then slide the MAS into some 3 inch tube and conected the Air filter to the end of the pipe and then duct taped the accordian tube that comes out of the turbo on to the MAS. State Search
By mark0695,
It would be nice to search for people in your state that way if you wanna get a meet together or just meet new people in the community. $.02 coming at ya..
I've never seen an electric boost/vacuum gauge, but I'd bet if it's out there it will be expensive since it would require a sending unit (a MAP for my GM is $70) to relay the information to the gauge. Plus then you've got tons of stuff to diagnose if something goes wrong.
Normally I'd be with ya, but in this particular case (and oil pressure) I see mechanical as being the way to go.
