Dirtributor alternative
By Indiana,
I was just looking at the manual for a Colt VISTA, 1987 seems they are mpi, they did have a turbo colt too but it is like the c/s setup it is not mpi and there was a carb. version too.
anyway, on the mpi colt the distributor has no advance, just cap rotor and the crank sensor is under the shield below the rotor. Â
My question is, since you are using the magna distributor, aren't you only using this to get the crank signal? Â there is a 4 lug rotor in there and the pickup and the wires com
hard pipes using stock parts.
By skyquest89tsi,
i used stock IC pipes to make hard pipes from turbo to IC.
but. i had to do some mods. cause the location of the stock air filter was in the way.
when i relocate the air filter to sit lower...the hard pipes will look better.
i'll can send some pics if anyone wants to see.
Magna Intake Questions
By 1quickStarion,
86 Starion ESI-R, I was wondering if there is any way to use the magna intake manifold with the stock ecu, I know the car comes stock with 2 injectors but what if i got 2 more injectors and wired them in paralell with my stock injectors? I have an 86 esir so the injectors allways fire at the same time so i dont see why this wouldnt work? Please give me some info on this! Also if that is not possible what is the cheapest way to use mpi without a standalone? If any, Thanks!
Carter
