Been looking at avenues for removing crap under the hood of my MPI car, and had a thought. IF you run a fuel only MPI computer and retain stock ignition, can the blue/white wire from the negative side of the coil simply be grounded out? That would take the stock ECU and ignitor completely out of the loop and make ignition timing entirely controlled by the mechanical advance inside the distributor and vacumn advance. I still have the stock ECU in the car for fuel pump purposes.   Since I no lo

this is just for those starting to piece their setups together   so far I've been able to figure   converted MPI intake manifold throttle body fuel rail/injectors ecu wiring harness?   what else are the minimum/necessary requirements?
