does anyone locally or close to GA have a good spare Alt. that they would let go for cheap? mine just bit the dust.

A good friend of mine in brooklyn has been working on his '88 quest for a month in his garage and he's ready to take it out this weekend but, the only day he parked it outside behind the house, a big tree trunk fell in his backyard breaking the passenger window and badly damaging the door. I installed my amp and everything but it keeps blowing the high power fuse I put in line near the battery. I have my system double fused (Makes troubleshooting actually easier as it'll give a decent idea where a short might be). When I replace the in line fuse near the battery I can turn the car on but not start and the amp will bump till the batt dies (No I didn't push that far) but when I start the car afterwards the fuse blows. Now if I merely start the car and leave her running it'll work

Tank measurements are 31.5" x 3"x 5" over all length is 35", mounting holes are 27" apart, no leaks and in good shape.. will send pix to anyone interested
