I bought a set from a member on the board and didn't realize until my buddy bought a brand new pair that he has a spacer on the bottom of his. It looks pressed on the bottom and at least a inch long or so. mine don't have that piece on the bottom. there no slop or rattle when I installed them, but have not had the car on the street yet. Is that good or bad, do I need to take them back out and find a piece of tube to fit on the bottom end. and do you need to fill your strut cartridge with oil?  

I need a set. mine are going out, my left ones gone. Went to dealer and no longer available.
