I suggest we remove the user's ability to edit or delete posts in the for sale forum. adding info should be fine, but that post is often the only public proof of what the seller actually offered.   also, sellers should be required to provide aditional information with their registration to the site. membership requirements can stay the same, but rights to post in the for sale forum should have additional requirements to make sellers prove who they are and that they are legit.
