Is the 88 ecu still available? And is it compatible with a 89 conquest tsi automatic?

Hey all, I own a talon with a bad tranny that I'm tryin to get rid of. I am putting this here right now to see how many - if any - are interested in it. I leave for boot camp on the 25th of this month (Jan.) and will be back in July (which is when I will be fully available to assist anyone in taking this off my hands). Before transmission went bad car drove great - lots of power, turbo spools nicely and there's no smoke. It was ready to be painted when the trans went and it's just been sitting since. Would make a nice daily or donor if someone wants a 4g63 powered SQ. Car has about 170k on it. Will try to get pics asap although it's got some snow on it right now... Asking $900

i dunno...i love the look of five spoke wheels...i just don't like those too much. it's hard to get better than our stock wheels until you go to real nice aftermarket wheels IMHO

i've read through all nine pages of this over the last couple days. i haven't seen one person say anything like this (here or anywhere in my life for that matter) but i've thought about it for a long time now. and now, i actually have a reason to bring it up. what if our solar system is just like the atoms we see under our microscopes? what i mean by that is - we could be living on an atom that some other being is looking at under their microscope. it would explain why the universe seems neverending. it would also explain a similarity between our solar system's orbiting planets, constellations of stars and such. then there wouldn't have to be a "creator" as it would all just be nature and physics just doing their normal routine. who's to say there's no life on atoms? or that an element's atoms are it's own universe? i know this is a little off the wall from what some people have said...i just wanted to ante up as another nonbeliever and offer some ideas i've thrown around in my head for a couple years now...

that's not deal's gap/tail of the dragon is it? i'm supposed to take the bike there end of the month with a couple buddies of mine and their bikes...

i haven't frequented this site in years until lately. i've been seeing "FTW" and can't figure out its meaning? i also tried to post this in the sticky on the FAQs but the site kept giving me an error msg.

i need to rebuild all four corners. was hoping someone has or could point me in the direction to buy rebuild kits for my calipers (87 TSi)

okay, took car for another test drive with vac line off the fpr and plugged - i think that's how to check the fpr. anyway, no real difference. it seems like i'm losing this battle at the moment.

sounds good. i'll keep at it. right now i've found a new problem rearing it's head. i don't think it's map related as much as it's fuel related (see this post - fuel issues ) the front brakes are in need of rebuilding as i thought...but that's of no relevance to this problem...

test drove the SQ today for about a 5 minute ride. in the first pull, it boosts normally but stumbles a little. 2nd pull boosts okay, but stumbles more. it stumbles at lower and lower rpms the more it's driven. i'm thinking it has something to do with fuel pressure (maybe the fpr on the magna fuel rail- it's the one that came with the rail) the stumbling gets less drastic when i richen the mixture with the mixture knob. any insight would be greatly appreciated. i think i have got the problem pinned...just looking for more experienced people to give their opinions. oh, and - where can i get another FPR for the magna fuel rail if this one is bad? thanks
