  1. I just ordered one of those water pumps and some other spare parts. The salesperson was nice enough to let me know which parts had excessive shipping costs. Some were double the price of the part. Those that were excessive got deleted from my shopping list and will be bought locally. This was the way all businesses should operate. Kudos to Rockville.
  2. Have played with it on and off for a 6 months. It is different enough from megatune to make it hard for me to pick one over the other. Of course it will be the software of choice foer megasquirt 3. I hope that gets finished soon so i can come back up to Hot'lanta to see you guys.
  3. What you are all missing is the fact that we already have socialized medicine to an extent. The insurance medical industry has been saying who will receive care and what type of care. They have a clerk or sometimes (rarely) nurse or physician decide who will receive treatment and what kind of treatment. This is NOT based upon medical judgement but rather on a set of algorithims created specifically for the insurance companies and skewed to pay the least amount possible. That is why may doctors refuse certain forms of insurance. Those companies pay claims at a lower level for certain problems. These companies make billions each year and work with the pharmaceutical industry furthering the profit margin. The health industry is using all the tricks to prevent reform. The VA and etc are limited in funding and can not make additional profits from other programs as can a private hospital. Many of the federal programs also deal with areas of health care that private industry has refused to cover due to lack of profit margins. A local military facility was closed and patients treated for several years at local medical facilities. Guess what? It cost more at the civilian facilities and required far more paperwork. Reform does not mean surrender. It means trying to fix the broken wheel.
  4. MS III should be available before the end of the year. I'm waiting to replace my v3 chip with the MS III chip. More speed and more options.
  5. Makes me wonder if I could use my Pioneer BT90 touch screen with megasquirt. It has an open USB connection and SD card to save data. Anybody know if this is possible? I could do a hidden mount for the laptop and run video to the USB I think
  6. JR, I'm in Tampa and would like to take a look at it. I might be able to get out of there for you. I have an '83 hood, but I know someone that would like one if it's not too far gone. I paid $40 for my hood. I think those people asking so much milking the market for all they can get.
  7. I have a *DM intercooler in my car and the bumper was not removed. The front fan was removed. I don't remember what all was done but it was pretty easy. It took about an hour and it is a very tight fit but it is a direct bolt on mod.
  8. I PM'ed ya near the start of this thread about several parts. If I,m too far away or those parts are gone let me know and I'll stop bugging ya.
  9. He must be taking this hard because he hasn't posted any pics or answered pm's. It's OK Art, she won't hate you if you make sure her parts are going to heal other starquests.
  10. Art, are you replying to the PMs? Just wondering if you got mine. I'd hate to fall out of contention due to you missing my PM.
  11. Cobalt, there is a GP here by Star-Orion, and the other site has a bolt on (no mods needed) aluminum for $240, if they can get 15 orders. I have bought items from both and had no problems with either. The one here allows you to use after market fans and the other allows you to use the stock fans. It's a matter of choice.
  12. The other site started a GP for bolt on aluminum rads, but that seems to have stalled.
  13. Just a quick comment. We now have two proposed GP for windshields. Both are about the same price. Tim C. also mentioned a possible source. Instead of everyone competing, can we get together on one really good GP? I want to see a successful GP for us all. I saw a lot of people potentially commit to Jenkins and several commit to Scotty. Can wee all get together, or am I wrong?
  14. Try to find out a firm price/availablity soon. I ordered another product in a GP that may not happen and the cash will be available for this GP.
  15. I will take one as a spare if the price is reasonable. Will check with some of the other owners near me too.
  16. Are there any more #9 struts available? If so I'm down for a set. Can send Paypal when i see reply.
  17. Find out a firm price and warranty info. Make SURE they meet American specs. This could be a problem with vehicle inspections, insurance, and safety.
  18. I'll take one. Just send me the address.
  19. ACT cleaned and checked the pressure plate. They said it was in perfect shape (better than spec) and didn't need a rebuild. If I had needed a rebuild they were willing to do one. They sent me a letter with the report. Excellent support and good communication from them.
  20. Let me know if you figure it out. I have the same problem. Sounds just like a throw out bearing. The clutch plate looks good and I pulled the pressure plate out and sent it back to ACT. Came back stating it actually is 50 lbs higher pressure than rated. Same noiuse with a stock pressure plate. Extreme clutch plate and 240 Fidanza.
  21. If the company really does still have the mold it shouldn't be too hard. What kind of a price did they quote for a run of 25? I have a new one (a year old) that was one of the last two available, and the other had a crack when it arrived. This was after a nationwide search of several months by myself and several other sources. There were some available from europe but they were very expensive and had no warranty. This is a project. I hope it goes well. If the price is right I might buy a spare.
  22. I'm in Tampa. I'd like to take a look at it. 810-7874
  23. Depending upon the price I would be interested in OEM look 17's. Post the offsets and etc when you have the mock up or sample done.

Let us all know if you actually find them. I went to Safelite and a few others after my insurance company couldn't find any. I finally found two. One came in chipped and the other is in my car. This took about a month. New windshields will be hard to find and used ones may break during install. Lots of companies say they have them, but when it gets down to actually shipping them can't do it.
