  1. Hello All! I need a new downpipe with flex section and wideband bung downstream of the stock location if possible. If not I will just weld one on. Anyone have a spare?
  2. So I finally hit p the TEP website and the 2.5" DP they have doesn't come with a flex section in the DP. It says their is a bung for a narrowband, but itsn't that the same thread as a wideband? I just screwed my wideband into the fitting from my stock 02. As yep .. i know that isn' the ideal place for a wideband. But for now it works. Pics?? I need a new DP and if this had a flex I would buy it.
  3. Sounds like your TPS to me. Use a good multimeter and check the resistance across the TPS as you open and close the throttle (while not running of course). It should be a smooth curve without any quick jumps. You can also turn the car on but not started and check the voltage signal output from it. That should also be smooth. Either way will tell you if something is wrong.
  4. My new engine smoked like it was on fire and idled like crap for about the first 20 minutes of running it. Scared me ... a lot ... but after a couple heat cycles I no longer get any smoke and the idle has smoothed out greatly. Have you done a compression test?
  5. You will also have o fab up some fuel lines, get a fuel pressure regulator, and injector clips. It isn't cheap, quick, or easy

  9. This is probably the biggest reason I love megasquirt. DATALOGS! I have had all kinds of similar issues and was able to log and look back at the graphs to see what went hay-wire causing the issue. Sorry to thread jack just had to throw that in there. :thread20jacked8wq:
  10. I have been having a hell of a time with the exhaust manifold gasket and the wastegate gasket on my modified stock manifold. Glad to hear I am not alone! Not that I really thought i was I have replaced all the gaskets 3 times now in about 1200 miles. It is real frustrating. Bringing the mani to a machine shop today and make sure it is still straight. It was milled all flat and nice before the install but now ... who knows.

  12. Just bought an Accufab from a Turbo Grand National. Saw a post with these and looked like a good unit for a little less. Plus it will mount in the stock Magna location. Picked it up with fittings for $120 shipped
  13. That's what I was afraid of. Where is a good place to get a decent price on an aeromotive? Might as well spend the extra $$ and get it right the first time.

  15. Looking around for a fuel pressure regulator for my MPI install. This seems to come with everything I need to save some time and $$. What do you think? Ebay FPR
  16. 35 psi is a little low for the injectors I have. I would like one that it adjustable.
  17. Also I already have all the gaskets and spark is currently contolled by the vacuum advance and the MSD. 4 new pigtails for the injectors are already here too the wiring is not an issue. I will be controlling spark with MS as soon as I can get the fuel dialed in. Thanks for the replies!
  18. Yep I have a thottle body and the brass vacuum fitings are already installed. Already running megasquirt on my TBI. I got it and the injectors from diyautotune so that it all good.
  19. Finally getting around to getting my magna MPI set up and in. But I need a fuel pressure regulator for the setup and the lines to go from the filter to the regulator and then to the fuel rail. I would like an aeromotive FPR just not thrilled about the price of them. Anyone have what I'm looking for? Or at least know a good place to pick this stuff up? Thanks!
  20. Well I think it is finally time to get my Magna hooked up. Just checking that I have everything I need. I Have: Modded Magna, 75#injectors, new IC and piping I Need: Fuel Pressure Regulator and ... ?? Can I use the stock throttle cable with this or should i get a longer one? Also for fuel I am going to need a different line from the filter to the fuel rail. Anything I am missing? I don't want to get it all apart and realize i am dead in the water because i forgot something. Thanks!
  21. How do you have your Req_Fuel set at? post a link to your .msg file and VE table and I will take a look at it for you. Not that i claim to be great at it but I have mine running pretty good with MS1 v3.0. Maybe i will see something you overlooked. What version of Megatune are you using? (if you are using megatune at all, you should be) And yes like Max says it does matter if you have high or low Z injectors
  22. Congrats! And Good Luck! I have had mine up and running on MS for a few weeks now and everyday it gets a little smoother and I tune a little further. It's a learning curve ... love it
