Its finally here! After many years of redesigning it is finished! The NEW improved Funk Lock features a narrower, larger OD bushing set which removed the need for tedious bends and gives better starter-motor clearance while also improving ease of installation! It utilizes precision cuts and bending for the BEST aftermarket engine mount available for the 2.6 powered SQ! Well, I have been working to consolidate suppliers and cut costs but it may have backfired cause a price jump. If I cant get them to slide on some cost, I may be back to what i was doin previously which may or may not being a good thing. Im goin to be retired soon and should score some freetime. We shall see. Thanks for the patience fellas

What direction does the coolant flow in our engines?
Funky Phil replied to polarisman14's topic in Virtual Mechanic
On a street car? It will take longer to warm up and never achieve a very high operating temp which may or may not be too low for optimum combustion. -

It also comes out the head between 3 and 4 to the heater core. While the Tstat is closed it exits through the bypass "Z" hose. This allows fluid to exit the head whenever your heater is off and Tstat is closed. So yes, in from lower radiator hose to water pump. Enters water jacket of block. Travels across exhaust side up through deck ports around 1 & 4 cylinder walls (siamese) Up through intake side deck ports. Fills head Exits out both front and rear coolant ports Out front port Tstat to radiator Out rear port to heater core, Out heater core to coolant tube, back to water pump. Out bypass hose to coolant tube, back to water pump. Hope that helps -
....so I decided I needed less room to work in my engine bay.......
