  1. I'll go $400 if I can get good pics of the wheels to show any rash or bends. PM me here. JR
  2. Frank has it partially right, it is about writing down what you want, and being willing to pay for it. Frank does some awesome work, and he does the research to do it right, but his parts are far from the bargan basement pricing that the Chinese import flEbay stuf goes for (and rightfully so). There is talent enough on this forum to get any of the needs taken care of, if the person requesting is willing to pay for the end result. There is no issue that cannot be resolved on these cars by ingenuity and money. The less of one that you are willing/able to provide, the more of the the other is it going to take. JR
  3. Don't worry, we are going to spend out way out of it. NEW STIMULUS
  4. There are a few of us down here in Wichita. Not too far away if you need something. JR
  5. Scotty has a similar set-up and was able to hook up AC by making some bracket extensions. Anything is possible with a little ingenuity.
  6. There is your best plan. If you play your cards right, you can sell pics of people and their cars at the meets as well. there are plenty of amatures, but most likely no one would have your quality of equipment. JR
  7. by "bonded connection" I assume you are meaning the urethane dampening material that is in the OEM unit
  8. I'm game...let me know when room registration starts. JR
  9. Before Christmas sale happening in the GP area. Get yours before the price goes back up. JR
  10. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e299/nerdsports/Cars/Euro/Volkswagen/carparade2007062tm3.jpg I certainly hope this is a show car only. Stretch the tire, then place the fender between the lip and the tire edge? How long till the fender wears the (is sidewall still the proper term for that) to the point of blowout? I am usually for creative expression, but not when I have to share the road with it. JR
  11. The SDS uses 3 magnets that are almost flush mounted into the back of the solid crank pulley. I have one in the garage somewhere. If I can find it I will get you a pic. When last i checked they will still sell you the magnets and get you a "how to" diagram. JR EDIT: http://sdsefi.com/techhall3.htm
  12. Thank God that Nancy and the bunch are here to save me from the evils of my everyday life. Anyone else having flashbacks of a "Demolition Man"' style of government?.......screw it, I'm going for Taco Bell while spices are still legal. JR
  13. Made to order. Get rid of that restrictive stocker, you car will thank you for it. JR
  14. ...cause stiffer pedal is always a good thing.
  15. recent orders have shipped. thanks to all. keep them coming
  16. Might be interested in the 9s. Shipping to 67203 and are you looking for any trades?
  17. There is a documentary somewhere about a guy that applied for every piece of junk mail he could get, and used it to fuel his fireplace/furnace for the winter. He got enough to never have to but any wood. JR
  18. I there are any that want a kit like that, I would be willing to price and order. I design for the least experienced mechanics, and cater to the creative. Suggestions are always welcome. JR
  19. the shorter line is for the passenger side I am always open to a group buy, I could do a bit better on the pricing in bulk. There is about 10 foot of line and (depending on the fittings) quite a bit tied up in fitting cost. A similar set-up from Lower Shores is about $30 more. Trust me, I don't make a fortune on anything I sell. JR
  20. I looked into that when this kit was being put together, and the feedback I received was that the 8 line kit was a better functional design and the cost between the two options was no great savings. Teflon tubing looses all strength if it is bent to a kink. A rubber grommet will not always prevent that, but the steel fitting at the bracket insures there will not be any. It is a personal call, but I tend to waver to the side of overkill, especially in a part that I sell for a safety device. The plus side is that if there IS ever an issue, the smaller sections are easier and cheaper to replace. I would be glad to make any lengths/design that are presented tho. JR
  21. Winter is a good time to make sure you have your charging system up to par. These units are workhorses.
  22. If you are going to bypass the ABS, this is the easy way to do it.
