as the title says i need a good distributor

the whole time i have owned this car it has idled a little rough but it drive perfect. i chased my tail trying to fix it but gave up. yesterday it started to run really rough at idle and when ever i hold it at any rpm. but if i rev it its fine. i pulled the cap and found my distributor shaft has a fair amount of play could this be my problem? video http://vid134.photob...t_300ZX/001.mp4

the mark 8 fans are no joke, on low they are 3500 cfm on high they are 5000 cfm

i had that one in my maxima and really liked it. the only problem is the lighted parts of it are really bright at night.

that looks like it, rock auto has the part numbers wrong for the 89 conquest. if i use 88 it gives me the correct one. thanks.

1990 nissan maxima, rare 5 speed. i was 14 (2004)and it wad first time i ever drove a car. killed it once and was golden after that. that poor car went through a fresh water flood in 2003. water all the way up to the roof. we changed the fluids and drained the water from the engine . after a few weeks of sitting it started right up and my dad drove it until 2006 and put 25,xxx miles on it post flood. i have had 2 other 3rd gen maxima 5 speeds , something about those cars keeps dragging me back. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q104/Drift_300ZX/maxima/maxima015.jpg

i need a steering box in good shape ,would prefer if it has the pitman arm still on it so i dont have to remove mine. cant pay until friday (27th). my steering box is dead, it pulls to the right , its harder to turn left than right and has 6" of play (good coupler) and leaks everywhere. i have played with the lash adjustment screw but it only helped a little and it just keeps getting worse. its getting to sketchy to drive on the highway i would rather gamble with a used one from a starquester than gamble with a "rebuilt" one.

what about a ka24 from a 240sx , people are almost giving them away when they swap to sr20s, or mini truck engines should be cheap , get a 22re from a toyota pickup.

turns out it was a bad ignitor , it failed yesterday i replaced it with a gm hei unit and the miss went away.but, i was wrong about my vac advance tho i can now suck air from it. where can i get one from to be sure i get a turbo one?

i think i have narrowed it down the the ignitor, cant you replace it with a gm hei ignitor? if so does anyone have a write up on that? thanks.

it doesn't spray any fuel and i just found that the tach doesn't move at all ether.

today when i started my car to warm it up it ran for 30 seconds and died and will not restart. it has done this 2 other times but it fired back up immediately . im getting no spark, got 12v to coil+, jumped the fuel pump wire and got voltage at it. it has a msd coil and factory says it should ohm out at .7 primary and 4.5k secondary i got 1.3 primary and 4.8k secondary its off but i dont think it would keep it from running. is it a bad dizzy?

did a leak test and all is good, temp sensor was reading 238 ohms at full temp,vac advance has its own line and its good,the accordion hose was replaced when i did the 1g maf swap and its all new.
